     At 8 years old, mozart demonstrated his musical ability in london


indicate: a show (verb)

   synonym: announce / argue / demonstrate

     The way you speak and act indicates your emotions.


overall: with all pieces together (adjective)

   synonym: comprehensive / global / long-term

     Some words might be new and difficult , but the overall meanig of the sentence is clear


trend: direction of change (verb)

   synonym: direction / movement / tendency

     Today's computer culture is trending toward more touch-screen technology.


stress: place extra importance on (verb)

   synonym: weight

     If you strees wrong words or sounds when speaking engish, you may not be understood.


adequate.: good enough  (adjective)

   synonym: acceptable / capable / competent

    A very light jacket wil be adequate for los angeles' warm winter


sufficient: enough  (adjective)

    synonym: acceptable / ample / plentiful

     Because of the weather changes ,farms couldn’t grow sufficient rice to feed the country last year.

     When you have difficulty understanding a new word, look at the context, the sentence around the word might tell the meaning

   synonym: accept / conclude / consider

     Ahmed assumed his forgetful professor wouldn't remember their meeting
but the professor was already waiting for him in her office.


assess: look at before deciding (verb)

   synonym: appraise / check / determine

     Before buying a house, you should always assess the building carefully.


approach: move closer (verb)

   synonym: approximate / appropinquate / near

     The sing at the park said clearly “do not approach wild animals, they will bite!”


restrict: limit (verb)

   synonym: curb / decrease / define

     This parking area is restricted: only university students may use it.


substitute: replace (verb)

   synonym: acting / alternate / backup

     Because we didn’t have any ,we substituted the sugar with juice.
